My latest silly thang

12:05 Aug 26 2005
Times Read: 801

I've decided to keep track of how many times I'm asked to marry someone on here. It's silly and they are kidding. It's always because I've said something they totally agree with and get excited about meeting one of like mind...or opinion anyway. How excited, I can't say. Can't...or won't? *smile*

Anyone else have this going on?

Open letter to Kansas School Board

Tuesday, August 23, 2005

I am writing you with much concern after having read of your hearing to decide whether the alternative theory of Intelligent Design should be taught along with the theory of Evolution. I think we can all agree that it is important for students to hear multiple viewpoints so they can choose for themselves the theory that makes the most sense to them. I am concerned, however, that students will only hear one theory of Intelligent Design.

Let us remember that there are multiple theories of Intelligent Design. I and many others around the world are of the strong belief that the universe was created by a Flying Spaghetti Monster. It was He who created all that we see and all that we feel. We feel strongly that the overwhelming scientific evidence pointing towards evolutionary processes is nothing but a coincidence, put in place by Him.

It is for this reason that I’m writing you today, to formally request that this alternative theory be taught in your schools, along with the other two theories. In fact, I will go so far as to say, if you do not agree to do this, we will be forced to proceed with legal action. I’m sure you see where we are coming from. If the Intelligent Design theory is not based on faith, but instead another scientific theory, as is claimed, then you must also allow our theory to be taught, as it is also based on science, not on faith.

Some find that hard to believe, so it may be helpful to tell you a little more about our beliefs. We have evidence that a Flying Spaghetti Monster created the universe. None of us, of course, were around to see it, but we have written accounts of it. We have several lengthy volumes explaining all details of His power. Also, you may be surprised to hear that there are over 10 million of us, and growing. We tend to be very secretive, as many people claim our beliefs are not substantiated by observable evidence. What these people don’t understand is that He built the world to make us think the earth is older than it really is. For example, a scientist may perform a carbon-dating process on an artifact. He finds that approximately 75% of the Carbon-14 has decayed by electron emission to Nitrogen-14, and infers that this artifact is approximately 10,000 years old, as the half-life of Carbon-14 appears to be 5,730 years. But what our scientist does not realize is that every time he makes a measurement, the Flying Spaghetti Monster is there changing the results with His Noodly Appendage. We have numerous texts that describe in detail how this can be possible and the reasons why He does this. He is of course invisible and can pass through normal matter with ease.

I’m sure you now realize how important it is that your students are taught this alternate theory. It is absolutely imperative that they realize that observable evidence is at the discretion of a Flying Spaghetti Monster. Furthermore, it is disrespectful to teach our beliefs without wearing His chosen outfit, which of course is full pirate regalia. I cannot stress the importance of this, and unfortunately cannot describe in detail why this must be done as I fear this letter is already becoming too long. The concise explanation is that He becomes angry if we don’t.

You may be interested to know that global warming, earthquakes, hurricanes, and other natural disasters are a direct effect of the shrinking numbers of Pirates since the 1800s. For your interest, I have included a graph of the approximate number of pirates versus the average global temperature over the last 200 years. As you can see, there is a statistically significant inverse relationship between pirates and global temperature.

In conclusion, thank you for taking the time to hear our views and beliefs. I hope I was able to convey the importance of teaching this theory to your students. We will of course be able to train the teachers in this alternate theory. I am eagerly awaiting your response, and hope dearly that no legal action will need to be taken. I think we can all look forward to the time when these three theories are given equal time in our science classrooms across the country, and eventually the world; One third time for Intelligent Design, one third time for Flying Spaghetti Monsterism, and one third time for logical conjecture based on overwhelming observable evidence.

Sincerely Yours,

Bobby Henderson, concerned citizen.

P.S. I have included an artistic drawing of Him creating a mountain, trees, and a midget. Remember, we are all His creatures

Flying Spaghetti Monster theory

My brother and I have been discussing the Kansas debate on the Flying Spaghetti Monster, as Him, the Creator. I have a few posts to post from a thread. It has some funny shit in it. But this is one of my favorite posts, not so funny, but yet is.

"People who wish to push religion should keep the following quote in mind:

Once there was a time when all people believed in God and the church ruled. This time is called the Dark Ages.

Fast cars and fast women

07:51 Aug 20 2005
Times Read: 813

My brother just breezed into town, and I just got back from my BMW Z3 ride! The moon is full and the sky is full of clouds, so it was such a wonderful ride. The loud music, and this little dark blue bullet shooting into the night, gliding effortlessly on the road, was quite exhilerating. I could see the moon peering over the clouds, and lining them with white light. It was like the clouds were a light screen, lightly covering the moon. And they were large and fluffy. There were storms all around, but nothing happening.

So now it's D's turn. I told him to get ready and we would be by to change riders. It is only a 2 seater car. I wanted D to take my brother to the local club and cruise the parking lot. My brother needs that. *smile* Besides, I thought that would give them a kick, two dudes, cruising for babes. *laughing*

Clever disposal

15:00 Aug 15 2005
Times Read: 828

While at mom's I was taking care of things. I was taking out the trash, but had to do something with the box that was left, after I used the last bag! Arg, I had already tied the top, ready to take out! So, since the Refuse Disposal Men wouldn't dispose of it for me, if the refuse is loose in the bin, I had to be clever. It's not loose...

Those were the days

08:26 Aug 15 2005
Times Read: 837

I think about my past alot. More specifically, the people in it. This is distant and recent past, even. I think about what they brought to me, or what I brought to them.

I believe that people appear when they are needed by you, or they need you. I believe that there are 3 types of soulmates, and one is a companion soulmate. These people are ones that seem to appear, stay in your life for a short time, and then just fade from your life or disappear suddenly. This is a karmic connection too, in that you have helped them in a past life, and they come into this one, to help you, to pay back the karmic debt and move on, or perhaps, for you to fulfill your end. It's usually not of long duration, yet can be very powerful. It could simply be a stranger that changed a tire for you at a dire time, or held the door.....whatever. Could be a friend that shows up and saves you from lonliness.....and sometimes, they stay and become the second kind of soulmate....the twin soulmate. Third being the twin flame.

I miss many of my past friends, loves so intensely that it's physically painful. Anyone know that feeling?

Sometimes, I feel as though I will scream if I don't see them, or at least talk to them, hear from them. Each one brought something different to my life, and that light has gone out. It's like mourning. Sure, I should let them go. But I don't want to. *smile* What if I never see them again?

I don't feel this emptiness all the time. Oh no. No, but it hits me the oddest times, and several times a day. I have to force myself, to pull from it's grasp, this sentimental fog I get lost in.

Music, smells, certain feelings, movies...all are triggers! *slight smile*

I wonder if they know that I think of them? Do they care? Do you ever wonder if you are thought of, by even someone you know casually? I wonder. Then again, I question everything. *laugh*

I think the beauty of this is that you, my reader, my friend, won't be forgotten.

Sennheiser PX200

08:04 Aug 15 2005
Times Read: 839

Finally got the headphones I was wondering about, last night. I've not listened to them, though, until just now. I have been saving the moment, until I was alone. I'm playing Moby, "In this World". ♪ "Lordy don't leave me...all by myself...". ♪

Now, In Your Eyes, by Peter Gabriel. Have always loved that song. "I get so lost, sometimes...".

They are good headphones. When I got my MP3 player, I started experimenting with headphones, cheaper ones to start. I had a pair of Sony lightweight ones that worked rather well, actually. I would suggest those over most earbuds. I remembered reading on a site about Sennheiser earbuds that someone recommended, to make my MP3 player experience MUCH better. So I went looking for them, and got them off of Ebay for $21.00. In the meantime, I also bought some Coby ones at Hastings (a book, music, video, everything music store, around for a long time. I used to work at one, a long time ago). Actually, the first pair I got from Hastings, were Magnavox, I believe. They were the new sort that wrap around the back of one's neck. But when I tried to put it up against my neck, they slid off of my ears, and they didn't press against my ears anyway! So I couldn't hear the bass/music well. I decided to take them back the next day.

The manager was called and oh, she did not want to give me a break. I've always thought that having a reciept, was my ticket to freedom. Well, since I had tried them out, I couldn't have my money back, even though the packaging was neatly put back together. She said I could exchange them for the EXACT pair. HUH? I said, "I am returning them because they won't work right. They don't fit on my ears. Besides, I got the last pair of these.", as if I needed an extra reason to return them. We went round and round for awhile and finally she said I could exchange for another pair. Jeez! Of course, I ended up with a more expensive pair....the Coby ones. Not too bad. Bass came through better, but not as clear as I would like. Still, I had to keep them. I ended up giving them to D and was back to using the Sony ones. That, and the Sennheiser buds...which are too big for my ears, so it's torture to keep them in there. Ouch! I mean, OUCH!

So, at mom's, I decide to try the Sony ones that are a rubbery band around the neck, and fasten over your ears. Well, they weren't too bad, but they just sat over my ears, not pressed against them. The sound was lost that way. Ugh.....I took them back to Wal-Mart the next day.....no problem.

I went back to the headphone department and compared the sensitivity levels, this and that. I almost got another pair of Sony (more expensive), and then thought, "fuck it.....I'm going to Oklahoma City, to Best Buy and finding a better pair!". Actually, I like Sony. And although I really wanted to buy a pair that day, I did not. I used my Sony lightweight ones again...

I just jumped in, finally, this weekend and got a better pair. *grimace*.....but, my music needs it. *smile* I saw the Sennheiser PX200 ones last weekend. Sennheiser makes great headphones. Obsessed about them all week, and got them this weekend. I was so excited. I kept them in the package as long as I could, so I wouldn't get tired of looking at them. Gemini=low boredom threshold.

"I want to touch the light, the heat I see in your eyes.".

Waited until everyone went to bed or work...and I was all alone. Ah, what song would I play first? I read that with many headphones, including these, you have to play them a few days, intensely, for the sound to get richer, to break them in, so to speak.

I was dancing around and caught the cord by my leg. Pulled them off of my head.....Dork......Hope I didn't fuck them up. *shaking head*

Guess I always have those Sonys.....

I found this site and played on it awhile. Ah, brought back memories. I got to level 16 on Simon. I was freaking out. HA! I was yelling at D, "Come here! Look at this, because I won't get back to it again!". Eh, he was on his cell phone. He is such a phone whore....me, I loathe it. Now text messaging on the cell phone. LOVE IT! That's my thing.

Tetris was my big one to play. I rock on that one. Love it. I used to play it so much on the black and white Game Boy, that I would see them dropping when I closed my eyes to go to sleep at night.

Took some pics last night after my shower, so I have some more photoshopping to do. Finished one, and posted that. I think it turned out nicely. I have some more to work with and from the weekend when I got back from my mom's.

I also have Marc and Dorretta's black and whites posted finally. Course, they are split up now, but I still love the pics I took that day in the cemetary. I had her top off in a cemetary with his hands on her boobs. Is that sacreligious? Nah, the ones on the other side could probably use a thrill. Dorretta is a neurotic Tarot card reader like me and her ex is in the Navy. *smile*

Tonight, I've got movies to copy. Anaconda and Multiplicity. But will be in here too. Like I could stay away from here very long. Pfft!

Hold it together!

11:06 Aug 08 2005
Times Read: 865

I forgot to take a picture of mom's scar on her neck. It has a ton of butterfly bandages across her neck. Scary looking. I can't even stand to lift my neck back very far, because of past life decapitation...or some cutlery incident, not sure which. I think the previous explanation. *shudder* I have deep rings in my neck. They say, that you carry with you, in this life, marks from past deaths, or wounds. Check yourself for birth scars and marks...odd areas on body.

I can't have my chest open and vulnerable either. I always have my hands or a hand on my chest when I fall asleep. I always have to have at least the sheet on me too. Too vulnerable feeling without it. Hmm...

The night of mom's surgery, we went to visit. I had been there all morning, and early afternoon, and after having only an hour's sleep, I was exhausted. Went to her house, and slept a tad and then D showed up. He had rented a car to come see mom and me. I had the car these past two weeks. He had to get a ride from a co-worker.

So anyway, the nurse came in to take calcium sample, via blood extraction, but couldn't find a vein that would do anything. She moved the needle around, nothing. Mom was holding my hand for support, and I almost passed out. It was so intense and we were all on edge to find that vein and get it over with. I started to black out, lost the air inside me and started a full blown panic attack....coupled with low blood sugar and nothing to eat, lack of Icee too....ha.....I had to tag team with D, while I ran to the nurses station for Graham crackers. I went back in and held her hand again, and the same thing happened....almost fainting. I'm thinking, "Hold it together.....hold it together....". I can fake a good hold. *wink* I've told people before, "I make holding it together look easy"....but it's not. That's a whole other Oprah.

I had to go get some water, and tag team again. Obviously it's not a "facination with blood" thing with me, being here at Rave.

I'm petrified of needles, despite the 4 tattoos I have. I would like a few more, actually, consisting of the Om symbol, Reiki symbols, a hamster, and some random symbols, mom, peace, rebel...*smile*...more of other cultures, Egypt, etc., and a few random others. Not that I will do all of this, but much to choose from. I don't want to be the tatooed freak, sitting next to the dog faced boy at the carnival. I doubt I could rival the reptile guy, with the forked tongue. Gawd...

Deity and i were musing about the ones that go on about your profile, stating how cool, creative, and interesting it is, wow this and great that!!!......and then giving it a 7, 8, or even a a mediocre 9. sure its still a great number to have. but if you think its that fantastic, doesnt it deserve a 10? dont say it, if you dont mean it. course, i dont want to see alot of people saying mean things, like, "eh, ive seen better". or, "ugh, god, i hate this page!". haha......egads that would be cruel.

you know, in the whole spiritual scheme of things, it means nothing. sure, we know that. its not that i lie awake in the mornings (day sleeper), unsure of how to improve my ratings. i do, i admit, check it out. *smirk* ah come on, you know you do too. its like looking back at your poop....you do it!

I have arrived...again.

13:32 Aug 06 2005
Times Read: 880

I got home tonight. I was on here, inside 10 minutes of arrival. I've been alone all night tonight. I was all dressed up and nowhere to go, nobody to see. It's been quite lonely, but this day is almost over. By the bird clock on the wall, it IS over, and already into Saturday.

So I took some pics this evening, worked on a few from before I left. I took some shower pics, but I don't know if I want to post them or not. Personally, I think they are pretty.

I've been catching up on replies and did some work on my profile. I got rid of the chat box, since nobody could get ahold of me, on it, when I did the Tarot reads. I may find another box to use. In the meantime, I have a few people that I am helping spiritually.

A big thank you to those that wished my mom well and your best wishes. I told her about you guys and she was very happy and grateful and felt like she made it through surgery because she had so many pulling for her and the positive energy she was receiving. So thank you very much for caring and your energy. I know what that's like to give it!

I was there almost 2 weeks. I've been saying 2 weeks, because it's only short a day or two. Mom and I got in our routine that we do, with the dogs, and the supper stuff, etc....but she was on Lortab, and wasn't feeling so great alot of the time. We spent much time together though, and talked, laughed, bitched about the injustices of the world....the usual. And of course, how we have all the answers. *smile*

I left yesterday evening, as they were at Montery's mexican restaruant. I sat a bit and ate chips, dip, but had to go. I had the hamster out in the car and it's Oklahoma. I've already lost one hamster and a rabbit to car heat. So in Montery's, we hugged and said our tearful goodbyes. And just when my dad was being sweet....brother too.

I had written my usual til later note for mom, but with more added this time, and left it on her pillow for after I left. I called her around 3am and she said it made her cry. My job is done for now.

I missed you guys. No internet at mom's. It's way out in the country, and there are tons of bugs. Yea, you know how I love them. There was a small tree frog that showed up every night. Lots of Orb Weavers. Ugh...
